Recorded with a tascam dr-05x with gain at 75% and positioned by an open window. 10:00 am sunday, clear sky, cold with some ground frost. Background distant traffic noise and helicopter appears about halfway through the recording then some people's voices near the end. I've amplified this recording by around 8db, no other processing applied.

The caws were recorded with a usb-stick mic, but i forget the particulars of exactly when and where i was. There are many variations to the call of crows, both singularly and in unison. I captured just a few of the individual variety.

An interesting recording of birds, led by blue jays, doing their alarm calls. I was in the middle of the woods when i noticed that the birds seemed to be alarmed like there was a predator nearby and sure enough, i finally spotted a big barred owl sitting high in a tree about 50 yards from my recorder. Pretty amazing how the bird community sounds the alarm.

One lonesome bird that lives in a tree on the neighbour's court. I recorded the tweets early in the morning from my balcony testing a røde videomc pro. There was some far away plane noise that i've filtered down quite heavily, so that now the bird sounds kind of 'isolated' and maybe somehow synthetic. Additionaly i passed an eq and a compressor (in audacity).

I went out back to record the robin and also noticed a smaller pileated woodpecker right over on the wood pile. Listen hard and you'll hear it peck the wood. That's the first sound you hear along with the robin and my neighbors kids. Recorded on my yamaha pocketrak and edited on sony vegas with two track duplications. Please comment on what you might use it for. Thanks. :-).
